I'm Back!

Where do I even start. Well, perhaps an apology is the best place. I'm so sorry its been so long... a whole year. Its been a crazy one indeed. From Covid to On-line school for the grand daughters to well, like, its just been busy. I want to thank all of my many new Etsy customers. It was so busy in my shop! I was stunned. I guess being stuck at home iwth a sewing machine and kids means that many of you deserved a new pincushion. I'll try to share some of my favorites here. I did have a computer crash and lost a lot of files, but I'll do my best. I have so much to share! The above pincushion is from a lovely collection called Farm Fresh, by Moda. I added a sweet crochet daisy from Crane Crochet. Isn't it fun! My newest creation is from that same line. This pretty quilted and zippered pouch is 9 inches high and 8 inches wide.
I am so ready to try some new things. I have been making myself sewing bags and pouches and wanted to share some of them with you. Here is one with its own Mini-Travel Pincushion....featuring fabrics from Carrie Bloomston called Wonder. She is so playful and fun. Each bag is $18. If you would like the mini pincushion, it is available as a set for $25.
These bags are great for holding all your sewing supplies. I can get my 10" Mundail in them! Check out my Etsy Shop and see all the new designs. I have tried to make one for just about anyone in any style. I'm just getting started. You see.. I also was busy orderin on-line during the lock down and oh my, I have so much fabric!!! Here is a fun bag with 2 matching pincushions. One is full size and you can find it in my Etsy Shop. The other comes along with a zippered bag. This fabric makes me happy!
I can't believe I didn't post about my Bee-Utiful Pincushions. I did share the 1st version in June. I ended up have 4 different styles and after making nearly 200 of them last year, (really!) I am sad to say I have a few scraps left of that fabric line.
That line inspired these fun bee pincushions
I have lots of new pin sets. I decided to add little assortments on a card. Not everyone needs 10 pins and if you buy them for yourself, you really might not want a gift box. So check out these assortments. The little pins are $9 and larger pin assortments are $10. They still make fun gifts. I see little lucite flower decorative pins in so many shops. I wanted to add them to my shop because they are so fun and bright. I found some pretty little Tulip flower beads and they are just so much prettier than any picture can show. I have some little glass flowers and some tiny millefiori pins. If you want a sampler of these little pins, that is also available!
I still love my standard size pins. I founds some really sweet new styles. I put them on cards so if you want to add to an existing collection, you can. The polymer clay pins are bright and lightweight. These TeaPot pins are really gorgeous. I have fallen in love with balls in glass and semiprecious stones. I even have some made of lava for some aroma therapy! A small assortment is also available. It includes any pins you see in my shop. If you want something special...Just ask!
Some of my new customer favorites are also my own. I love the Everything Cherry and Cherry Lemonade fabric Lines. They are bright and remind me of vintage fabrics. Here are my new all stars...
Well, I'm afraid I'm going to over load this blog post and crash this post. I just have so much to share with you. I'll be back soon. I hope you are all healthy and that this past year has not only given you strength in it challenges, but also blessings in some true family time. I hope you have aso been creative. Please share your thoughts with me and my readers. I hope to post more often. I hope to get some tutorials up some day. I miss making them. I thank you for stoppoing by! Jill

For the Birds!

Hello to all! Hope everyone is doing well, staying creative, feeling hopeful and staying healthy. Things here are fine. Glad to have an "in home" job with my Etsy shop. Finding things to do is not a problem for me. Finding enough time with everyone else home.... well, I'm sure you can relate. Nice to have some company.

I have been working on these new Floral Pet Pincushions. The next batch coming includes Birds! I love bird watching. Spending so much time outside with my pup, Jordy, gives me an opportunity to see who is singing and what they look like. This month, the Robins have returned. Oh that makes me so happy. I had to start with this Robin print. Hope you love it too.
.

I used a wonderful line of fabrics called Flower Market from Riley Blake. I picked it up on Etsy at SojoFabric. I made a few pincushions from it. I'm so sad to see it gone. Just when I find a great all around fabric, it goes out of print.

Love that crochet flower on top? It came from Crane Crochet. She is so great to work with and does some amazing crochet.

Well back to my bird prints. More are on the way but here is a Cardinal and a Blue Bird Pincushions. They are currently in my Etsy shop.
Take a look at the pins that come along with these cuties! Hand blown glass bird pins come along with each pincushion!

Here are the new bird and dog pincushions just added to my Esty shop Fiberluscious-
We have a sweet Budgie, Callie the Collie Dog and last but not least, the Blue Pitta Bird Pincushion. I love them all!

Lets all be safe
Be Creative
Be Kind
and Be Healthy!

Clearly Cute!!!

I love my pin assortments in my Fiberluscious Shop.
Its hard to pick a favorite, flowers? holiday? hearts? I love them all!

As adorable as they are, they can't travel alone. They have always been safe and sweet in a pretty glossy white gift box with a big, organdy ribbon bow.
I sent them along in a felt ball that was either embroidered or beaded. so they would have a nice trip to their new home.

Then I saw these adorable felt flowers on Etsy. Claudia sells them in her shop, Crafty Wool Felt

They were going to be perfect, but they needed a new box. I can fit pins in a glossy box with the flower, but I wanted this to be a great gift for someone who sews. I found my answer when buying my shipping supplies.

A Cute Little Clear box!
Its 2 inches square and 2 inches high. When the pins sit on top of the flower they just pop up for everyone to see!

There are so many pins to choose from. My Deluxe Assortments include, Halloween, Holiday, Hearts and Flowers, Jewelry Inspired Pins and the fun Birds and Bees sets. They come with pretty felt stars, embroidered or beaded felt balls or a sweet felt heart. I love them all!

My standard assortments are anything but standard! Like everything in my shop, I focus on quality, craftsmanship and cuteness!
Choose from these $15 assortments- Flowers, Millefiori or a full assortment including a bit of everything.

Here is a little overview of how to order. Then just stop by my shop and choose the pins you want to have!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you can pop over to my shop. I have lots of new pincushions to show you. Pick out something great for yourself or for someone you love!
Happy Creating!

Cats and Dogs!

Meet Bella and Coco...

I found this sweet fabric on Etsy in Jean Maries Fabrics. It's called "Floral" Pets designed by Mia Charro for Blend Fabrics.
Sometimes you just sit back and let the fabric do the heavy lifting. With these adorable prints, all I had to do was to add a bit of patchwork, add a few hundred tiny seed beads and the rest was magic!

This is Molly-

I did have to name them. After a few hours of adding beads, I kind of grew fond of each and everyone of them.

This cute kitties are Lucy and Sophie.

The last puppy to meet is Ema. She seems to be your every dog. Her smile is just so loving. Just like every dog I've ever loved.

Like all my pincushions, they all have an emery core. Each pincushion is half of a pound! Emery sharpens and cleans your pins. I only add a core, enclosed in muslin. They keeps the emery from wearing down the outer fabric because its wrapped in lots of fluffy polyester fiberfill. I love how squishy and firm they feel. I really take care to create lasting pieces of art because I know they you may only have one in your studio and you want it to be special. Because these guys will be shipped, I baffle the emery core so it doesn't get all shaken to one end while its flying around the country. I want you to love your creation!

Each pincushion comes with 2 coordinating flower topped pins. They match each print and they give their cute hats a great dimensional look! I also think they make great gifts. One of these gals would be a perfect gift for a new sewer or for someone who adores their own cat or dog. I was sad they didn't come in a Whippet print! Maybe some day I'll have to make my own.

Some of the collars are adorned with silk ribbon and some are beaded. I added charms to match and "Lucy" has crystal studded glasses! It was just so much fun adding the beads, charms and crystals.

Each print is framed with 2 fabrics. I wanted to leave enough room around each face, just in case you felt uneasy sticking a pin and in puppies nose. I know I might!

I think they only thing that could make it more special is if it looked like your puppy or cat! Let me know if it does and I will embroider their name on yours at no extra charge!

I hope you love this pincushion series as much as I do. Take one home. Don't forget to watch for upcoming sales. In the meantime, I'll give you a special bloggers coupon code, FiberBlog10. Use it for these or any other item in my Etsy shop, Fiberluscious. Once you purchase an item from my shop, you will get a forever coupon code, so you'll never pay full price in my shop again! I love my peoples!

Enjoy and I hope to see you again soon.

My Etsy Sale is extended to July 4th!

My June sale is extended till July 4th! I just added this adorable double-sided pincushion in all its red, white and blue glory and I wanted it to be included.
I also just listed a lovely Antique Churn Dash Quilt Top. Both antique quilt tops I have listed are so beautiful! I am donating the total sale of these quilt tops to the St.Mathias Homeless Quilt Ministry.

Just take a look at the antique works of art. My photos just don't do them justice. Pop on over to my Etsy shop Fiberluscious and see all the pictures I took.

The Feed Sack Quilt Top is so amazing. It is in tip top condition. I could not find a stain or a loose seam anywhere. It is estimated to be over 70 Years Old!

The Churn Dash top is Hand Pieced! Can you believe that! All 267 blocks are joined to a lovely bubblegum pink square. It is amazing.

I have so many pretty pincushions in my shop right now and they are all 15% off.

I am afraid that some may say my pincushions are a bit more expensive than some. I humbly feel that my pincushions are a cut above the rest. The best feature is the emery core. It gives each pincushion a nice weight, yet they are still lofty and soft. The emery sharpens your pins and needles gently. Because they are also filled iwth polyester fiberfill, the zinc coating on your sharps won't become worn down. The double layer of top fabric, (on many styles) and the soft poly fiberfill hold your pins for every day use. The emery gives them just enough gentle abrasion to sharpen the tips when you push your pins down into the core.

The fabrics are all pre-washed and quilt shop quality. I want you to love your pincushion and feel the love and craftsmanship I put into each and every one of them. I make lots of pincushions, but only the best make it into my shop. Just take a look at my reviews. I think you will find that you will be happy with one of my creations.

I have been on a fabric buying spree. I have so many new additions to my stash, I am in heaven!
The Star Pincushion on the top of this page has another side. Yes, it is double sided and ready to work. The second side is a fun pin wheel block.

So whether you are feeling a bit patriotic or just want to have fun, use either side and get sewing!

I have another new pincushion in my Etsy shop call Bee-Utiful. This one was insprired by a Moda fabric line call Bee Happy! How cute is that!

Now what will I do with some of these other fabrics!

My grand daughters are always thinking up challenges.
What are you making with your new fabrics? I know you have them!

Send me photos of or links to your projects! I'd love to see them!
